Live results for WWE Raw 3/9/15

20 Days. That’s all we’ve got until Wrestlemania and Pittsburgh, PA host tonight’s Raw. Brock is slated to appear in some capacity to hype his World Title match, The IC title is slated to appear with 49,000 different competitors, Lana is slated to order Rusev to CRUSH!, Bray Wyatt wants Undertaker to find him, Andre The Giant needs to find his trophy, Sting and Triple H will somehow continue their build and who knows what else is to come tonight. There’s also word of a well-deserved entrant into the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2015, which I won’t spoil here in the intro blurb. Keep refreshing for all the latest.

We open tonight with a recap of last week’s main event of Raw.

Orton’s music hits and we are underway tonight. The Authority of Show, Kane, Rollins & J&J Security are in the ring applauding him. They announce tonight’s main event as Orton teaming with Rollins to take on Roman Reigns in a 2-on-1 handicap match.

Kane says that they wanted to publically show that Orton is truly part of The Authority once again, and Kane welcomes him in. Show talks (and gets boos galore) and says how great Orton is right now and welcomes him too. Jamie Noble goes to talk good things but says he can’t do it and doesn’t trust him. Seth stops him and says how all of them are truly thrilled that Orton’s back in the Authority and asks Mercury, who doesn’t say anything. Seth now addresses the elephant in the room, that Orton’s going to turn on Seth and The Authority. Clearly this hasn’t happened and everyone for a time doubted him (except for Show who we really shouldn’t care about… yes, Seth said that) and offers a handshake, which Orton accepts.

Orton now has the mic and begs to wonder what has happened to the Authority, kissing his ass in welcoming him back. He says all these guys should be powerful and strong but they are far from that right now. Orton addresses them all in turn, but then says that he’s messing around with them. Seth forcefully laughs and says how he and Orton will tear Reigns apart… because that’s what best for business.

Special Guest star Wiz Khalifa is here tonight, as is Brock Lesnar.

Daniel Bryan’s music hits and he makes his way out for action. He’ll be facing the IC champ Bad News Barrett after the break.

WWE Slam of the Week with all the IC title kerfuffle from Thursday’s Smackdown.

Back from break and Bad News Barrett makes his entrance. R-Truth is on commentary once again.

Match 1 – Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett
OK match. Daniel Bryan gets the win with the Running Knee.
WINNER – Daniel Bryan

Barrett celebrates but gets hit with a Bullhammer from Barrett. He then says he’s coming after Truth next and heads up the ramp. Dean Ambrose then comes out and attacks Barrett on the ramp. Ambrose is in action next.

Sting vs. Triple H Mania promo short.

Back from break and Ambrose is waiting for his opponent, who is Stardust. R-Truth is still on commentary.

Match 2 – Dean Ambrose vs. Stardust
Another OK match. Ambrose wins with Dirty Deeds.
WINNER – Dean Ambrose

Dean grabs the belt that Stardust had at ringside. Barrett comes in and attacks him, followed by Bryan, Luke Harper & Dolph Ziggler. While all this is happening, R-Truth sneaks up and takes the title and puts it in his bag. Barrett eventually is the last man standing in the brawl and goes to Truth and asks for the bag. Truth gives it to him and heads into the crowd as Truth sneaks up the ramp to the stage. It turns out that Barrett has a toy plastic IC title belt and Truth has the real one.

They’re now revealing the latest WWE Hall Of Fame inductee and it’s the Warrior Award for Connor Michalek.

Brock will be talking next regarding his World Title.

WWE Road Is Jericho Home Video showcase coming on the WWE Network after Raw.

Paul Heyman is in the ring, making his usual introductions and shows them all a Roman Reigns hype video, looking at his career progression. Heyman says Roman makes some interesting points and retorts with HERE COMES THE PAIN! and introduces Brock Lesnar. Heyman says that the promo video was simply propaganda. Heyman says he speaks the truth and that when Roman was 9, his dad and his friends all went down to the bars in Florida getting drunk, his uncle being the same, and how they want him to beat Brock at Mania. Heyman says Roman will lose and that, if The Authority may want certain individuals as champ ‘Montreal Screwjob’ style, then Brock will make sure they do not leave alive. Heyman’s mic cuts off again and then says how the guys in the back (in the truck or Authority) should come and take his mic or take Lesnar’s belt. Perhaps Lesnar will unify the WWE and UFC belts? Perhaps he’ll beat up Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacciao in Vegas? He’s destroyed everything in his path since and now and will continue to hold HIS wwe title belt, not WWE’s WWE Title belt.

HEYMAN IS GOD!!! That is all.

Bray Wyatt promo, with the urn, and wants Undertaker to find him… tonight.

Kane & Big Show are in the ring for tag team action. They recap their issues from Thursday’s Smackdown. They’re facing Erick Rowan & Ryback.

Match 3 – Big Show & Kane vs. Erick Rowan & Ryback
OK match. Thanks to Big Show accidentally KO punching Kane, Rowan gets the pinfall victory.
WINNERS – Erick Rowan & Ryback

Big Show joins Kane in the ring and Kane is pissed. Show is pissed back. Cue Stephanie’s music who’s pissed at both of them. She wants them gone out of the ring and then goes further asking them to leave the arena altogether.

They’re showing last week’s Niagra commercial and Miz being upset. Miz is backstage with Wiz Khalifa and Miz wants an album deal with him, wanting ‘The Miz & Wiz’ but Khalifa says he’s done a deal with Wizdow and Damian shows up dressed rapper style and declares he’s done with Miz and he’s in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal.

Sheamus hype video.

Wiz Khalifa’s performing a medley. Ambivalence-Mania is running wild!!! It’s only rescued by Wizdow posing with him on stage at the end. Dear God…

They recap last week’s Raw with The Bellas, Paige & the returning AJ Lee. Paige & AJ will be in action next.

Back to the show and they show The Bellas in the Flinstones movie, and they’re dressed Flintstone style backstage and cut a Flintstones style promo on their Mania opponents. EPIC FAIL!

Back to stuff that’s actually interesting and AJ Lee is facing Summer Rae, with Paige in AJ’s corner.

Match 4 – AJ Lee (w/Paige) vs. Summer Rae (w/Cameron & Eva Marie)
By the way, how the hell can we #GiveDivasAChance when Cameron & Eva Marie are Divas? Anyway, it’s an OK match, with AJ Lee locking on the Black Widow for the win.

AJ & Paige share a fist bump afterwards. And Cameron & Eva Marie do nothing… ‘Nuff said.

Next up is Sting & Triple H hype for Wrestlemania.

Now it’s another good video package with Sting talking hyping Wrestlemania.

Rusev & Lana backstage, who come face-to-face with Cena. Cena said that he listened last week but Rusev must remember that the same applies to him. He may be a Russian hero but he doesn’t have the right to desecrate the USA and if he tries it tonight, he won’t need to fight Cena at Mania but it’ll happen tonight.

Randy Orton returns to Smackdown this Thursday.

Rusev and Lana are out and they recap Axelmania from Smackdown. Axel is out next. Rusev attacks him before the match even starts.

Match 5 – Rusev vs. Curtis Axel
In mere seconds, Axel is forced to tap to the Accolade.
WINNER – Rusev

Rusev taunts America in his victory, saying that he’ll spit on the US title which represents all of them. Cue Cena coming out, taking off his shirt and brawls with Rusev. Cena locks on the STF and forces Rusev to pass out in the hold. Refs come out and check on Rusev but Cena comes back in and locks the STF again. Rusev’s tapping but Cena won’t relinquish. Lana gets a  mic and gives him the US Title match he wants at Wrestlemania. Cena relinquishes the hold and heads up the ramp as Rusev is out for the count in the ring.

The 2-on-1 handicap match is later.

Bray Wyatt again, saying he’ll raise the dead tonight.

Rusev being checked backstage who is clearly unhappy at what Lana did.

The New Day are out and are set to take on the Tag champs, Kidd & Cesaro.

Match 6 – The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E.) (w/Xavier Woods) vs. Tyson Kidd & Cesaro (w/Natalya)
The New Day got the win apparently.
WINNERS – The New Day

The Usos are now coming out as Naomi is in action against Natalya next.

Back from break and the match is already underway.

Match 7 – Naomi (w/The Usos) vs. Natalya (w/Tyson Kidd & Cesaro)
Naomi wins with the Rear View.
WINNER – Naomi

Natalya grabs Tyson’s tag belt and leaves up the ramp, Tyson & Cesaro following. Los Matadores are coming out now for tag action… Jeez, will we get a break in between matches for a change?

Match 8 – The Usos (w/Naomi) vs. Los Matadores (w/El Torito)
Thanks to a distraction from El Torito, a roll-up gives the Matadores the win.
WINNERS – Los Matadores

Thank god that’s over.

They recap Orton’s ‘joking’ verbal jabs from earlier. J&J Security backstage unsure about Orton and Seth says he knows that Orton’s on their side.

Bray Wyatt is here next.

The music rings out and Bray Wyatt is in the ring. He says he sees a world full of destruction and that’s why he follows the buzzards. Below them lay The Undertaker and he refuses to stand by his side, he will step over his bones and take his throne as the new face of fear. Everyone used to fear The Undertaker, but that destiny was already pre-determined. Mania will be his resurrection and requiem. He wants Taker to accept his challenge. He then grabs the urn and says if that is how we bring him back, only for it to be empty, which Bray says reflects what Taker is now… only for smoke to come out, lightning and thunder effects and then… BONG! BONG! BONG! A rocking chair is in the ring. The screen says Wrestlemania… The Man Comes Around. Taker’s voice rings out saying that Bray will Rest In Peace and lightning sets fire to the chair. Bray cackles away as Undertaker’s music plays.

The 2-on-1 handicap match is next.

The recap Cena making Rusev pass out earlier. An exclusive interview with John Cena will follow Raw tonight on the WWE Network, which I guess will then be followed by the Jericho sneak peek.

Roman Reigns’s music hits and he makes his way through the crowd. They recap Heyman from earlier. Seth Rollins is out next, accompanied by J&J Security, followed by Randy Orton.

Match 9 – 2-on-1 Handicap – Seth Rollins & Randy Orton (w/J&J Security) vs. Roman Reigns
During the match, due to his constant negative impact. Orton clotheslines Noble. Seth tells J&J to go backstage. Seth’s in dire straits and needs to tag out… but Orton refuses and flips Seth the double bird (which actually got shown until the cameraman realized the framing error) Roman spears Rollins and gets the win.
WINNER – Roman Reigns

After a minute of contemplation, Orton attacks and beats the crap out of Seth, using chairs, rings steps and everything in between, culminating with the DDT on the ring barrier and an RKO through the announce table to close the show… sooooo, I think Orton isn’t in the Authority anymore.

Well that’s all for this week, I’ll return next week as Des Moines host the penultimate Raw before Mania. Until then… ASHLEY OUT!!!
